The other escapee the Purple Man

With the apparent escape of Trevor Slattery my name is being dragged through the mud.  I was absolutely tricked.  I feel like a fool, an idiot and I am very, very angry.

This episode though has caused me to look at an older file from a colleague.

Who is the Purple Man?
It begins with a simple request for transfer of a prisoner.  This transfer was for a prisoner by the name of Zebediah Killgrave the Warden found that he had no such prisoner.  He initially thought it was a mistake until he did find one record of Zebediah Killgrave being admitted.  Confused he found massive gaps in video surveillance during the week where Mr. Killgrave was admitted.  There were no files on Mr. Killgrave they had all seemingly been destroyed.  Further, none of the guards seemed to recall Mr. Killgrave or what he looked like.

Somehow Killgrave escaped by unknown means and managed to erase all the files on his person and all of the security video.

One guard did recall finding a note that he saved.  It turns out it was found in the cell that Killgrave was admitted to.  The Guard walked by the cell and was confused to find it empty and with its door open.  He could not recall who was inside it and upon looking in the records it seemed that it was indeed empty.

One bizarre item found on the floor was the note.  It read:

I AM THE PURPLEMAN

My colleague has been greatly distressed by this incident.  Some have questioned his honesty in the matter but I feel he is being earnest.  Now with my own storm on my hands, I can't help but question who is this Killgrave?  Who is the Purpleman?
